RLM has had quite the year—one for the books, perhaps! (Sorry, puns may be the lowest form of humor, but they’re so convenient.) We decided to take our own advice and document what we’ve accomplished, even in this Year That Would Never End. So without further ado, here’s our version of Auld Lang Syne.
Highlights of 2020
RLM turned 4: We know we’re still toddlers in business years. But as we wrote in a celebratory blog post, we’ve learned that telling life stories is more essential than ever, and that gave us a much-needed sense of maturity and hope for the future.
Memo from HR: As we entered a new decade—and a new normal—we were determined to step up our communications. So we hired Hannah to spearhead the effort, and it’s a darned good thing we did. It’s thrilling to grow our team and make new connections with friends and fans!
And we magically became social media-savvy: Not only do we have digital homes on Facebook and LinkedIn, but now we’re the new darlings of Instagram. We hope you’ll follow along with all our social media shenanigans—so please Friend and Follow and Connect with us!
Our Predictions for 2021
By popular demand: Susan put her nose to the grindstone and designed a gorgeous cookbook/memoir hybrid, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon post samples on our website. Finally, we put our foodie tendencies to good use!
Athletic endeavors: This is the point at which Samantha usually vows to set a new personal-best record in some aspect of powerlifting, but c’mon. Her hope for 2020 is just to get vaccinated and go back to the gym (and ideally not look like a weakling when she gets there).
Spreading the word(s): Thanks to another of Hannah’s initiatives, we’re taking the plunge and creating an email newsletter! We’ll be sharing our product launches, writing advice, links to all that’s new in the memoir-sphere, products we’ve been loving, and more. If you or someone you know would enjoy our verbal hijinks, drop us a line. We’d love to stay connected!
